“We would highly recommend coming and staying at this beautiful property. The accommodation has everything you require. It's dog friendly and the Cowshed caters for this with an enclosed garden that your pups can't escape from. It's comfortable, clean and the owners will look after your every need. It has an indoor swimming pool. The location of Hartswood Farm is central to many attractions — Dalby Forest, Pickering and the seaside at Scarborough and Whitby. Book your stay here, you will not be disappointed.”

“Such a nice site and the owners are really nice and attentive, would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. We stayed in the Cosy Cocoon and the accommodation was all clean and tidy as was the shower and toilet in the swimming pool area, and the grounds themselves are also spotless. Having all the farm animals in view from the accommodation is definitely a bonus too. Thank you for a great stay.”

“Staying in Cowshed Cottage for 4 nights. Spotless and well equipped for our little break with two Labradors in tow. Owners on site are really lovely and welcoming. Swimming pool is spot on. Will definitely return again.”

“Beautiful place to stay, location is excellent for the beaches of Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington and the lovely city of York in the opposite direction. Or have a nice relaxed day at the farm seeing the animals and having a swim in the pool. The owners are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The eggs were a lovely surprise. We'll definitely be back.”

“We were four adults sharing the farmhouse which was enormous and very well equipped. We spent most evenings in the conservatory looking out at the stunning countryside and watching the goats and chickens — we knew all the goats by name. We made good use of the very large pool and the jacuzzi. The owners were welcoming and friendly. Ideal for a relaxing family holiday.”

“The three bedroomed house was very well equipped and perfectly clean. En suite each plus a downstairs toilet. Plenty of space to be together, or go for peace and quiet in another room. Outdoor area with picnic table overlooking the pygmy goats, free range chickens and outdoor reared pigs. Good view of sunset from here and the conservatory. The grounds and facilities all looked well maintained. Would love to visit here again.”

“Holiday accommodation in a working farm environment, hosts live on site away from the cottages. Great location on the Carrs of Yorkshire and Derwent Valley. Sublime views and quiet atmosphere. Just off the A64 so very accessible. We would repeat our visit with pleasure.”

“Stayed in the big farmhouse with all my family, absolutely loved it — very luxurious, and the coal fires are lovely to come into after being in the pool that we practically had all to ourselves. Rosie was also a lovely friendly lady, and the dogs absolutely enjoyed their stay. Wish we'd booked 2 weeks instead of one!”

“Such a lovely house. Beautiful surroundings. You feel completely rural but are actually very conveniently situated for shopping and activities. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. There's goats, horses, chickens and pigs nearby, so great for kids. The swimming pool is lovely!”
